reunion 2005

We have returned.

I’ll let Brenda do all the details in her inimitable fashion, but for those of you who have been watching this space tirelessly waiting for news, we’re back.

It was a great trip. The flying was great and interesting. We had no real problems through the whole thing, but a couple of reroutes and other adventures. It’s kind of unusual to have a hurricane in Indiana, for example.

We’re back safe, and Brenda will be updating.

Happy Bastille Day.

Howdy,

For those of you watching from home, we’re here in Elmira and are catching up on our posts. The Steele Memorial Library has provided us complimentary Wi-Fi access, and images are forthcoming.

Having a great time; wish you were here.

xoxo,

The demand for pictures is high, so here’s a bunch from 4th of July.

We spent the day with the Dalton’s (Mary Ellen’s folks) , who have a place on Seneca Lake. My brother’s family enjoy boating and many of our family camping trips are at large bodies of water, so I felt right at home.

Each of the boat docks light flares at the end of the docks. Too dark to get an overall photo, but it was very cool to see the red glows across the lake…

Ohio State University Airport runs a lovely little airport, where we saw a nifty Piper Tomahawk:

We were looking forward to stopping in St. Louis, as we got a chance to visit with our friends Mike and Kristen and their kids Max and Meredith:

Did you know that the Thomas the Tank Engine wooden railway cars all have their names printed on their bottoms? And that Iron `Arry and Iron Burt are twins but you can tell them apart by their faces? And that Mavis is a diesel so she doesn’t have a tinder car? We didn’t either.

Max really likes his Thomas trains
