Previously mentioned here and here, I recently saw more hyperbolic crochet forms at the LA County Fair. Assembled by the Institute for Figuring, the new display is documented in this Flickr photo set. I always thought crochet sculuptures looked cool on their own, but grouping a whole bunch of them in this other-worldly landscape is just magical.
This display is part of Fair Exchange, a group exhibition of works by 28 Los Angeles-based artists at the LA County Fair in Pomona. So if you’re hankering for a bit of cultcha between the farm animals and fried foods, here’s your chance.
