Another word from your pilot

Hi.

We’ve arrived safely in Asheville. We landed about 6:00 PM local on Sunday night as night fell over the Smoky Mountains. It was even a pretty good landing. The AVL tower was one of the most friendly and welcoming I’ve talked to.

My folks immediately took us out to dinner and we didn’t get back until late, which is why this is late. We’re now enjoying the hospitality of my folks and Asheville, and Brenda will be back with a full description soon.

Hope your holiday season is going as well as ours!

How’s the vegetarian offerings on your trip? What no food log? Shame shame shame.

Andrea: thanks for the greetings; we’ve passed them along to mom and dad. We miss your words of the day, which we’ve been enjoying immensely…

Petrina: Food log? But of course! We’ve been keeping mostly to local establishments along the way, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the ease with which I’ve been able to get veg foods here in the south.

My least exciting meal was in Amarillo, TX, where we were all but forced to dine at Denny’s, but everything else has been just peachy!

Hope you’re all having a safe and enjoyable holiday!
