I stumbled across an on-line knitting magazine called Knitty one day when browsing the web for patterns. One of the patterns in their archives was for Feline Dim Sum, little hand-knit cat toys in the shape of won tons and egg rolls. The concept of knitting food was too enticing; the image of our cats playing with their food… I knew I’d have to try making them. Bem and Jackson love their knitty shnackies.

They’re fun and easy to make, so I’ve knit up a few more as gifts for some of our kitty friends, and have even donated a set to our annual fund-raising charity auction at work.
